An amazing number, but we’re always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with. <b> The opportunity</b> <p> Teva is seeking an Attorney to join our Legal R&amp;D team, supporting the R&amp;D organization globally, which includes innovative medicines, biosimilar and generic pipeline. The purpose of this position is to partner with the R&amp;D organization, delivering accurate, timely manner support supporting Teva's Pivot to Growth strategy.</p> <br> <p><br> The position provides counseling on clinical research, drug development and clinical trial matters, as well as the applicable laws and regulations and related guidance. The person in this role shall be responsible for providing legal counsel, drafting and negotiating agreements and documentations as supporting the various R&amp;D units, from early research and discovery through the various clinical trial stages, and supporting related licenses and transactions. The attorney will collaborate with other attorneys in our team and the extended legal, Intellectual Property, compliance and privacy teams as well as other legal functions.</p> <br> <p></p> <ul> <li>This is a hybrid position that can sit out of our West Chester, PA or Parsippany, NJ location.</li> </ul> <b> How you’ll spend your day</b> <ul> <li>Legal Support of the Global R&amp;D operations in the Americas and overseas: contract drafting, negotiation and counsel on clinical trial agreements, informed consent and clinical trials associated matters including privacy, transparency, regulatory compliance, regulatory inspection and pharmacovigilance.</li> <li>Collaborate and maintain relationships on the legal end with academies, external-facing organizations, medical sites and vendors as well as internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal company policies</li> <li>Drafting, negotiating, and counseling on various R&amp;D agreements including consultancy, services, research, Investigator sponsor studies, collaborative research agreements, MTAs, license etc.</li> <li>Review, draft, negotiate and support license agreements and transactions focusing on R&amp;D</li> <li>Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures</li> <li>Other projects and duties as required/assigned</li> </ul> <b>Your experience and qualifications</b> <p> Education Required:</p> <ul> <li>J.D. from an accredited law school required</li> </ul> <br> <p> </p> <p>Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department</li> <li>Experience in a pharmaceutical, medical device, CRO, academic research, and/or clinical trial setting is required.</li> </ul> <br> <p> </p> <p>Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:</p> <ul> <li>Active license to practice law in at least one US state, with ability to secure limited in-house counsel license from the state in which you receive an offer of employment.</li> <li>Good standing in the bar of a relevant jurisdiction</li> </ul> <br> <p> </p> <p>Functional Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of the varied roles and responsibilities of a complex, global clinical trial and research and development environment</li> </ul> <br> <p> </p> <p>Company / Industry Related Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of regulations, guidance and practices governing clinical research and drug development in all phases of development, with an advanced understanding and familiarization of the clinical trial field and related contractual agreements.</li> </ul> <br> <p> </p> <p>Job-specific Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated excellence in (i) understanding complex scenarios in order to identify and evaluate relevant issues and risks; (ii) proposing solutions that take into consideration the relevant business objectives; and (iii) communicating those issues, risks, and solutions clearly and concisely</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively, with a solution-oriented approach, in global, cross-functional teams within legal, compliance, business, and other functional areas</li> <li>Strong foundation of analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and still meet quality and timeliness standards under pressure</li> <li>Self-motivation, an ability to work proactively and independently, reliability, responsiveness, and accountability</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement</li> <li>Sound judgment, commitment to ethical conduct, and a high level of professionalism</li> </ul> <br> <p> </p> <p>Travel Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Up to 10% travel, including international, as needed.</li> </ul> <b>Enjoy a more rewarding choice</b> <p> We offer a competitive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage starting on the first day.
