<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Position Summary</b><b>: </b></h2>
<p>We are looking for a motivated, commercial-focused attorney to join our legal team. The Counsel will be a key member of the Legal Department and responsible for advising on contract drafting and negotiation, litigation, public company as well as other compliance matters.</p>

<p> This role will collaborate cross-functionally with other enterprise departments to provide strategic guidance, consultation, and support to our business lines on a comprehensive range of legal and associated issues.</p>

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</b></h2>
</div>
<ul>
<li><p> Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.</p></li>
<li><p> Provide guidance in litigation matters impacting the business, including management of outside counsel engaged in such litigation.</p></li>
<li><p> Partner with other legal and bank staff to manage subpoena response process from intake to production of records.</p></li>
<li><p> Assist with establishing a contract playbook and standard operating procedures.</p></li>
<li><p> Draft and advise on real estate leases and transactions.</p></li>
<li><p> Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet deliverables.</p></li>
<li><p> Exercise considerable discretion, with minimal oversight, and serve as the primary legal contact for assigned clients.</p></li>
<li><p> Collaborate within the department and across business and staff functions to address legal and risk issues in a manner consistent with the best interests of company.</p></li>
<li><p> Lead initiatives of varying scope and complexity.</p></li>
<li><p> Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</p></li>

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Experience & Education:</b></h2>
</div>
<ul>
<li><p> JD from an ABA-accredited law school.</p></li>
<li><p> Valid and active law license issued by a state bar (including any territory of the United States, as well as the District of Columbia).</p></li>
<li><p> Minimum 3 years’ legal experience as a practicing attorney demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience, or training.</p></li>
<li><p> Experience in drafting and negotiation.</p></li>
<li><p> Litigation management experience.</p></li>
<li><p> Strong analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills.</p></li>
<li><p> Detail-oriented while operating with a strategic business focus.</p></li>
<li><p> Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of management and cross-functional teams.</p></li>
<li><p> Experience with fintech, payments, and/or financial services companies preferred.</p></li>

<li><p> Negotiating experience.</p></li>
<li><p> Knowledge and understanding of institutional policies and procedures and the regulatory environment within which they operate.</p></li>
