Candidates must have solid industry/business background (consumer electronics industry preferred) and experience advising on a variety of complex commercial transactions. The position is based in Irvine, California. This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team, within a fast-paced environment. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> VIZIO is an extremely collaborative work environment and this individual will need to partner effectively with VIZIO’s Human Resources, Sales, Product, Marketing, Engineering, and other business teams and other key stakeholders to obtain necessary information, conduct legal analysis, provide strategic advice, and ensure that all interests of the affected business units are appropriately represented in the applicable legal contract. </div> What You Will Do: <ul> <li>Will obtain necessary information, conduct legal analysis, and help ensure that all interests of the affected business units are appropriately represented in the applicable legal context.</li> <li> Excellent negotiating skills, keen analytical abilities, a pragmatic approach to problem solving, as well as a track record of success in handling complex business and legal issues in a fast-paced, agile and evolving technology-driven business environment</li> <li> Proven ability to quickly understand complex products and services, while identifying key issues and risks and offering creative solutions for business enablement</li> <li> Experience working in a cross-department, cross-functional role requiring good client relationship skills, including the ability to independently solicit the advice and input of different stakeholders as necessary and appropriate</li> <li> Provide legal guidance on employment law related matters to the company</li> <li> Assist in contract review and negotiations as needed</li> <li> Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> About You: <ul> <li>5 – 7 + years of experience as an attorney either in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both</li> <li> A juris doctor from an accredited law school</li> <li> Licensed to practice law in California or can qualify as California Registered In-House Counsel</li> <li> Employment law background/working knowledge of employment laws</li> <li> Strong transactional background</li> <li> Experience in providing clear and concise guidance on regulatory compliance requirements, strongly preferred</li> <li> Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume desk with varying responsibilities and obligations</li> <li> Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li> <li> A sense of humor and an ability to work well individually and as part of team</li> <li> Experience using SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred</li> <li> An appreciation for consumer technology</li> </ul> About VIZIO: <p><b> We are Beautifully Simple.</b></p> <p> Headquartered in Irvine, California, VIZIO is a leading HDTV brand in America and the #1 Sound Bar Brand in America.
