Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to help us continue to build our agency and to serve those who have served. <br> Job duties: Performing work including, but not limited to providing legal advice and direction related to NDVA grants and related programs. This includes development, administration and audit functions and reviewing agency grant opportunities. Assisting with research and development of administrative hearing cases, drafting correspondence and other legal documents, representing the agency in hearings, assisting with the State Claims process, NDVA Property Insurance claims and related issues, Procurement and Human Resource matters. The position will be responsible for ensuring compliance and consistency regarding the complex bodies of law handled by the agency legal team. <div></div> <div> <br> REQUIREMENTS: Three years of experience as an attorney practicing law and providing legal services such as preparing and trying cases, advising clients, and/or interpreting laws or administrative policies. <br> LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: (These qualifications are mandated by federal/state laws, statutes, and/or regulations.) In accordance with Section 7-101, Nebraska Revised, Reissued Statutes of l943, incumbents in this class must be admitted to the Nebraska Bar. </div> <div> PREFERRED: Experience in grants and related programs. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Demonstrated ability to interpret State and Federal laws and regulations and effectively communicate issue and concerns as well as potential solutions to leadership and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build and maintain positive professional relationships. Demonstrated ability to organize information and excellent written and oral communication skills.
