We are looking for a J.D. to work with attorneys, other conflicts department staff, and the Firm’s General Counsel to help identify, evaluate, and resolve ethical and business conflict issues. This non-practicing attorney position will play an important role in facilitating the resolution of potential conflicts of interest in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct. Conducting comprehensive research of relevant parties to identify or rule out potential conflicts of interest Reviewing and analyzing conflict reports to provide concise evaluations of potential conflict issues along with recognized steps for resolution Serving as an escalation point for Conflicts Analysts and coordinating with them on conflict issues through to resolution Researching, analyzing, and drafting conflict waivers, engagement letters, and ethical wall memoranda to ensure potential conflicts are addressed and resolved Collaborate with responsible attorneys and the Firm’s General Counsel to determine appropriate terms of engagement, and where needed, negotiate engagement, outside counsel guidelines and conflict waiver terms with clients A minimum of two to three years conflicts experience Salary to be based upon experience and education; we’re targeting between $150,000-$175,000 annual [Note new job link; job reposted]
