To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position using the Career worklet, please review this tip sheet . </p> <p></p> <p>The department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Manager, Contract Administration to work at UHealth(Hybrid). The Manager, Contract Administration manages the business development for health plan operations. The individual maximizes revenue for all managed care payers, negotiates settlements, and manages ongoing relationships with payers contracted. Moreover, the incumbent ensures that payers adhere to state insurance laws, policies, and regulations while supervising the implementation of new payer agreements. The Manager, Contract Administration also assists with the administration of all payer documents to ensure all documents are accurately completed and catalogued. Supports the department by providing external communication to new and current contracted payers. </p> <p></p> <ul> <li><p>Draft, analyze and negotiate a broad range of contracts. </p></li> <li><p>Conduct in-depth analysis of contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and enterprise-wide policies; work with stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of the business case and financial implications. </p></li> <li><p>Identify and analyze complex legal, regulatory, and business issues, and provide appropriate advice. </p></li> <li><p>Advise internal clients across the enterprise in a clear and concise manner that effectively conveys contractual risk assessment. </p></li> <li><p>Engage internal clients and external parties to negotiate contract terms that are favorable to UM. </p></li> <li><p>Ensure contracts comply with state, federal, and (where applicable) international laws and regulations, as well as with UM’s policies and procedures. </p></li> <li><p>Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with other operational units and executive leadership throughout the enterprise. </p></li> <li><p>Work with a significant degree of independence and minimal supervision on day-to-day contracting matters. </p></li> <li><p>Ensure approval and execution of contracts in accordance with UM policies and contracting procedures. </p></li> <li><p>Keep abreast of new legal and regulatory developments that affect or may affect UM, including new data privacy regulations. </p></li> <li><p>Develop, maintain, and revise contract templates and contracting guidelines to ensure uniform general contract terms and conditions are used. </p></li> <li><p>Review, update and maintain contract documentation in accordance with UM policies. </p></li> <li><p>Conduct training sessions for procurement team staff to ensure work product across teams complies with UM’s contracting policies and procedures. </p></li> <li><p>Apply creativity in resolving contract issues in a timely manner. Analyze and suggest improvements in business processes. </p></li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><i>This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary. </i></b></p> <p></p> <p><b>Minimum Qualifications </b></p> <ul> <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
