Whether you are a software developer, product engineer, sales team member, or part of our corporate team, at Ansys we know that by embracing what makes us each unique, we become collectively better.</p> <p></p> <p><b><br> Summary / Role Purpose </b></p> <p>The Legal Counsel – Investigations role is primarily responsible for conducting global internal investigations regarding compliance with the Ansys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, other Company policies, and laws and regulations. The work will span all areas of the Company and require partnership with employment and other legal counsel, Human Resources, CyberSecurity, Internal Audit, and other personnel to assess, manage, and resolve diverse cases ranging in levels of complexity, urgency, and sensitivity. This role is a key member of the Ethics &amp; Compliance team within the Ansys Legal, IP and Risk (“LIR”) department and will report to the Senior Legal Counsel – Litigation &amp; Risk Management.</p> <p><br> </p> <p>The role will be located at Ansys’ headquarters in Canonsburg, PA or remotely from any location within the continental United States.</p> <p></p> <p><b><br> Key Duties and Responsibilities</b></p> <ul> <li> Plan and conduct confidential internal investigations—both in a lead and supporting role—including interviewing individuals, and collecting and reviewing documents, electronic data, and other evidence.</li> <li> Draft and prepare formal, written investigative summaries and reports detailing the information obtained and results of the investigation.</li> <li> Advise on and coordinate with global employment counsel and Human Resources on remediation and resolution for investigations.</li> <li> Identify significant issues and potential control enhancements during investigations and make recommendations to mitigate risk of exposure and loss, reputational harm, and/or legal issues.</li> <li> Assist with external investigations, inquiries, and concerns, as appropriate.</li> <li> Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to advise the Company on legal issues and risks.</li> <li> Monitor enforcement trends and relevant developments related to global investigations. </li> <li>Assist with assessing and implementing process and procedure enhancements. </li> <li>Other duties and/or special projects as assigned, including providing additional strategic and tactical support to the Company’s Ethics &amp; Compliance program.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><br> Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience</b></p> <ul> <li> Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a U.S. accredited law school required</li> <li> Member in good standing of at least one state bar association</li> <li> Minimum of 4 years’ experience conducting work-place related and/or government investigations, with preference given to in-house experience with a public company with global operations</li> <li> Significant experience with witness interviews and/or depositions</li> <li> Experience supervising and partnering with outside counsel and managing budgets for same</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><br> Preferred Qualifications and Skills</b></p> <ul> <li> Strong communication skills (oral and written), with both legal and non-legal professionals </li> <li>Acts with integrity, composure, and discretion in handling sensitive and/or confidential matters</li> <li> Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously</li> <li> Is flexible and adaptable - demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and work diplomatically and tactfully with others</li> <li> Ability to spot and analyze complex issues and devise practical strategies and solutions</li> <li> An inclusive individual who thrives in a team-oriented and collaborative environment</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><br> ALIGNING YOUR VALUES TO OUR SOLUTIONS </b><br> At Ansys, our diverse, collaborative teams give us the strength and insight to solve the world’s most challenging engineering problems.
