We can't tell you much more about what we do, but we can tell you it's amazing. <br>Job Description <br>The Commercial Counsel position serves as legal support to the Applied Technology business unit of Motorola Solutions, Inc. (“MSI”). This attorney will work closely with the various leaders across Motorola in order to provide legal counsel on a wide range of legal and compliance issues.The Commercial Counsel will have a broad mandate in building and implementing the legal framework for this growing business unit. <br> <br> <b>Position Description:</b> MSI seeks a Commercial Counsel with the U.S Federal Government Contracting experience to serve as the primary legal counsel for MSI’s Applied Technology business unit. <br> <br> <b>Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations :</b> <br> Provides primary day-to-day legal support including, but not limited to drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of government and commercial contracts and bid documents, including RFPs and RFIs, teaming agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), contract amendments, license agreements, distribution, reseller agreements, subcontracts, and NDAs <br> <br> Advises on a variety of issues related to compliance with FAR/DFAR provisions, Federal Cost Accounting Standards, and U.S. Federal Government data rights provisions <br> <br> Develops and oversees compliance efforts and programs including developing and administering training programs <br> <br> Works closely with Finance to ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards including supporting DCAA audits <br> <br> Supports the sales team’s efforts to expand and grow the business in accordance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements. <br> <br> In-depth knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and those requirements unique to contracting with the US Government, particularly with respect to government data rights provisions <br> <br> Experience working with contracts subject to the Federal Cost Accounting Standards and DCAA compliance audits <br> <br> Prior experience developing and administering compliance programs for sales-focused organizations <br> <br> Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to train and present for large groups with ease <br> <br> Adaptable ‘can do’ attitude, ability to work independently and make decisions <br> <br> Admission to a U.S. bar in good standing <br> <br> <b>Preferred Knowledge/Skills:</b> <br> Experience with Buy National, Export control regulations, and Commerciality determinations is a plus. <br> <br> #LI-ONSITE <br>#LI-JM2 <br> <br> Basic Requirements <br> <br> Minimum of 5 years of experience working with U.S. Federal Government contracts with evidence of increased levels of responsibility <br> <br> Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a U.S. Federal Government security clearance <br> <br> Travel Requirements None <br>Relocation Provided None <br>Position Type Experienced <br>Referral Payment Plan Yes <br> <br> <b>Our U.S. Benefits include:</b> <br> Incentive Bonus Plans <br>Medical, Dental, Vision benefits <br>401K with Company Match <br>9 Paid Holidays <br>Generous Paid Time Off Packages <br>Employee Stock Purchase Plan <br>Paid Parental &amp; Family Leave <br>and more! <br> <br> EEO Statement <br>Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran's status, or, any other protected characteristic.</div>
