Summary of the Position: An independent self-starter to serve as senior compliance officer on the Advisers Act and other relevant regulatory requirements. Candidate will be responsible for analyzing new rules and providing advice to different stakeholders across the firm on various compliance topics listed below. Candidate must have strong risk mitigation skills and sound judgment. They should be able to make determinations in a commercial environment, taking into account business goals while still protecting the firm from legal, regulatory and reputational risk. Candidate must also have relationship building skills to cultivate trust and open communication with employees, both at the junior and senior levels. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li> Work closely with the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel to support various aspects of a global Compliance program, with a particular focus on new rules and regulations relevant to US registered investment advisers. This includes, among other things: <ul> <li> Code of Ethics administration (including personal trading, political contributions and new hire onboarding),</li> <li> Assist in completing Form ADV and Form PF filings,</li> <li> Review of marketing materials for compliance with applicable SEC rules,</li> <li> Implementation of the new Private Funds Rule,</li> <li> Analyze risks based on the existing and changing nature of the business to develop an Annual Compliance Plan, consisting of policies and procedures, monitoring, testing and training to address and mitigate identified risks, and</li> <li> Develop project plans to follow through on program initiatives,</li> </ul></li> <li> Assist the CCO with supporting Regional Compliance Officers in different countries, including explaining aspects of the Adviser’s Act while taking into account cultural norms and differences</li> <li> Be seen as a trusted adviser to the business regarding all compliance matters, in addition to being a strong team player within the Compliance Department,</li> <li> Escalate issues and potential solutions in a timely manner, and</li> <li> Proactively evaluate the compliance program on a consistent basis to identify various enhancement opportunities.</li> </ul> About You: <ul> <li> Investment Advisers Act experience</li> <li> Commercial Real Estate experience</li> <li> Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li> Strong interpersonal skills and judgment</li> <li> Comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions</li> <li> Team player</li> <li> J.D. preferred</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Onsite presence is required for this position.</li> </ul> The base compensation range for this role is $250,000 to $265,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role.
