As an essential part of those efforts, the Consumer Protection Bureau enforces state and federal laws that safeguard against deceptive, fraudulent, and unfair business practices, as well as against antitrust and monopolistic activities. The Bureau's work serves its motto and mission to “Protect the Good Life.” <br> <br> Role Description <br> The Nebraska Office of the Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) for its Consumer Protection Bureau. This is a full-time role located in Lincoln, NE, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Consumer Protection AAG, you will work to ensure that Nebraska consumers are protected from fraudulent and deceptive business practices, and you’ll safeguard free and fair competition in the marketplace. You will serve as the frontline defense for Nebraskan consumers, both in state and multistate actions, and in enforcement efforts. Your work will help bring justice for consumers, protect vulnerable communities, shape policy, and help enact industry changes in Nebraska and nationwide. <br> <br> Consumer Protection AAGs take a hands-on and often first-chair role in litigation and enforcement matters with meaningful impact. In our republic and system of federalism, the States serve a vital role in consumer protection.
