Bring your legal expertise and proven success as a corporate attorney and join our team of legal advisors who help shape the future of Jacobs.</p> <p>As the Corporate Counsel – Privacy and Cyber Security, you’ll join the Jacobs Legal Department which supports key initiatives and corporate functions, including Jacobs’ growing digital solutions and technology services. The Corporate Counsel will be accountable for developing and implementing legal strategies, policies, procedures, tools and training related to privacy and cyber security. This role will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel and Vice President within the Jacobs Legal, Risk &amp; Compliance Department. We believe in #TogetherBeyond, living inclusion, diversity, and cohesion; nurturing opportunity and encouraging career growth through mentorship and exemplary leadership; operating with the utmost integrity.</p> <p>In this critical role, you’ll:</p> <ul> <li>Privacy</li> </ul> o Join the Jacobs Privacy Team to support and implement program processes in compliance with evolving global privacy laws, including the U.S., EU and Canada <br> o Review privacy provisions related to business proposals, client questionnaires, and contract terms and conditions <br> o Manage Privacy Team compliance elements such as: <br>  Global Privacy Policy <br>  Privacy Notices <br>  Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) Process and Register <br>  Data Incident Response and Register <br>  Data Protection Impact Assessment <br>  Privacy Team email inbox <br> o Conduct privacy assessments of Jacobs’ growing digital solutions and technology offerings, including the use of artificial intelligence <br> o Assist in the continuous review and update of existing privacy training materials, and the development of new privacy training materials <br> o Support privacy audits (internal and external) and provide privacy program compliance information and responses to support business opportunities <br> <ul> <li>Cyber Security</li> </ul> o Support Jacobs’ cyber resilience strategy, including participation in security and data protection initiatives, insider threat program <br> o Manage incident response with stakeholders including investigations and coordination of regulatory obligations <br> o Support the IT Security Team related to the review, interpretation and implementation of IT Security policies and processes, including data protection, authorized use, and incident response <br> o Coordinate with the IT Security Team regarding the review of business proposals, client questionnaires, and contract terms and conditions <br> o Assist the Global Risk Management Team with the insurance review process <b> Here’s What You’ll Need:</b> <ul> <li><br> J.D. from an accredited law school, a solid academic background, and an active license to practice law.</li> <li>2 to 4 years of prior experience with a top law firm or as in-house counsel</li> <li>Substantive knowledge and in-depth experience of the laws, risks and compliance elements related to privacy (U.S. and EU) and cyber security</li> <li>Experience with commercial and compliance risks related to digital services and offerings, including privacy and cyber law, and artificial intelligence</li> </ul> <div> Ideally, you’ll also have: <br> <br> <ul> <li>Business and financial acumen.</li> <li>Inspirational leadership.</li> <li>Agility in the strategic support of the business.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to counsel management.</li> <li>Ability to work with product development teams to guide and counsel on complex technical and compliance risks.</li> <li>Ability and drive to serve as a trusted business and legal partner with a relentless focus on achieving business objectives while identifying and managing risk.</li> <li>Ability to creatively tackle challenging and complex legal and business problems.</li> <li>Dedication to supporting Inclusion &amp; Diversity initiatives, internally and externally, consistent with the General Counsel’s priorities.</li> <li>Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across the department and company.</li> <li>Ability to utilize technology, innovation and digital tools to create efficiencies and improvements in the operation of the Legal, Risk &amp; Compliance Department.</li> <li>Ability to travel as needed.</li> </ul> </div> <p><i><br> At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
