The Houston, TX office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking a Federal Civil Rights associate attorney to join its Litigation Practice. Admission to the Texas Bar is required. The successful candidate will have substantial analytical, communication and writing activities; strong communication skills, including communicating with clients, team and partners, and providing timely reporting and appearing in court; as well as two (2) to seven (7) years of litigation experience in some or all of the following substantive areas: Federal Court practice Civil rights litigation and appellate defense Experience writing lengthy briefs and motions Ideal candidate either has experience as a trial attorney or completed trial advocacy in law school and is committed to learning how to become an effective civil jury trial attorney We offer competitive compensation and in addition, Lewis Brisbois offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with employer contribution, and a bonus for those who meet their minimum hourly requirement.
