Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP is a mid-sized Chicago law firm in search of a Trademark Paralegal for its Intellectual Property Department. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducting trademark searches and preparingreports Filing trademark applications and managing theapplication process Monitoring and maintaining trademarkregistrations Preparing responses to office actions from theUSPTO or other international trademark offices Conducting trademark clearance reviews for newproducts or services Maintaining and updating the company’s trademarkdatabase and files Assisting with trademark litigation andenforcement matters Conducting legal research on trademark law andrelated issues QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificatepreferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trademarklaw Strong knowledge of trademark laws, regulations,and procedures Excellent organizational and time-managementskills Attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and legalresearch tools Ability to work independently and as part of ateam PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
