The San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw seeks a mid-level construction/government contracts associate with 3-5 years of experience with complex construction projects (including public works projects), supply/service government contracts. The ideal candidate for the position will have experience representing owners, contractors, design professional and/or sureties in the drafting, negotiating and administration of construction contracts as well as domestic and international litigation related to construction projects or supply/service government contracts; and, will have experience with some of the following matters: commercial procurements, federal, state, and local public procurement-related issues, contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, claim documentation, equitable adjustments, impact and delay claims, default terminations, change orders and extra work disputes, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics’ liens, prompt payment and conditional payment disputes, construction and design defects, bid protests, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Board of Contract Appeals, and/or the Court of Federal Claims. Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills required.
