Procopio is seeking a junior to mid level International Tax Attorney with 5+ years of relevant law firm experience to join the Firm’s Tax Practice Team in its San Diego, California office. Candidates must have full Spanish fluency (both verbal and written). Top tier academic credentials and State bar Admission is required (California license is preferred). A tax background (e.g. tax LL.M, CPA) is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience international tax law, specifically outbound and nearshoring transactions with Mexico and Latin America. Experience structuring transactions involving the merger, sale, and liquidation of assets and entities in both the US and Latin America is also ideal. In this role, you will work with business leaders expanding their foreign operations into the United States. This is a perfect opportunity for an Associate Attorney to join a growing AmLaw 200 Firm with one of the strongest International Tax teams in southern California. This role will provide the associate with a broad range of experience servicing high net-worth clients, with the opportunity to grow and hone the candidate’s skills as an international attorney. The candidate will also have substantial client contact and the opportunity to develop their own book of business. Typical salary range is from $165,000 to $205,000 base depending on experience plus significant bonus opportunities for attorneys of all levels.
