The Dallas office of BakerHostetler is seeking a senior-level business attorney with at least 7+ years of corporate experience to join our General Counsel Services team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a team that supports clients in a broad array of sectors, advising them on domestic and international complex commercial contracts review and negotiation against sophisticated counterparties in a very fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Qualifications Include: • Minimum of 7 years of extensive experience reviewing and negotiating contracts against sophisticated counterparties. • A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school; • Law firm or in-house practice, or some combination of both is essential. Am Law 100 law firm experience is a plus, but not required; and admission to practice law in the state of Texas is required. Successful candidates will have demonstrated: • professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a collaborative team environment; • the ability to take the lead on deals and interface with sophisticated and demanding clients and counterparties; • the ability to work in a high-pressure and face-paced environment; • the ability to meet and beat tight deadlines and handle multiple contract reviews and negotiations simultaneously; • clear and concise communication style (oral and written) with clients, counterparties, and other team members. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, and relevant skills.
