The Associate General Counsel will play a crucial role in helping Breeze navigate and address various legal challenges that arise in the course of business and airline operations.</p> <b> Here's what you'll do</b> <ul> <li>Partner with People Services and senior leadership to navigate legal and regulatory issues related to employment</li> <li>Develop and implement effective practices, policies, and compliance programs for Breeze Team Members to foster a positive work environment encompassing our Seriously Nice™ values</li> <li>Deliver engaging training sessions to Breeze managers and Team Members on critical legal topics, policies, and best practices</li> <li>Represent Breeze in legal disputes, including tort claims, contract disputes, and other litigation matters</li> <li>Address immigration issues, including in relation to work visas and other immigration compliance issues for non-U.S. Team Members</li> <li>Model the Breeze guest service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction</li> </ul> <b>Here's what you need to be successful</b> <p><b> Minimum Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>J.D from an accredited law school</li> <li>Licensed to practice law in Utah, or eligible to be admitted as House Counsel under Utah State Bar rules</li> <li>3+ years of employment litigation experience, including managing written discovery and deposition preparation</li> <li>Employment law counseling experience, including with respect to FMLA, EEOC, and ADA compliance</li> </ul> <p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Prior airline legal experience</li> <li>ERISA Compliance experience</li> </ul> <p><b>Skills/Talents</b></p> <ul> <li>Exemplifies Breeze's safety culture, values, and mission</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively in front of executive leadership and external government agencies</li> </ul> <b>Perks of the Job</b> <ul> <li>Health, Vision and Dental</li> <li>Health Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match</li> <li>401K with Breeze Employee Match</li> <li>PTO</li> <li>Travel on Breeze and other Airlines too!</li> </ul> <p> Breeze Airways provides equal employment opportunities to all Team Members and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
