Lathrop GPM’s Healthcare & Nonprofit Organizations practice group is seeking an attorney to join its expanding health care practice in Minneapolis. Role and Responsibilities: We seek candidates with a strong interest in health care issues and trends. As a core member of our healthcare team, you will work alongside others to provide clients with critical guidance to achieve their goals. Our health care transactions and regulatory team assists with structuring and negotiating transactions, offers strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues, implements various contractual arrangements, and counsels clients on a wide range of legal matters affecting the health care industry. Candidates should have a background in legal issues related to provider health care organizations, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA, state privacy laws, and transactional experience involving health care organizations. Key Qualifications: 4-6 years of experience in health care transactional and regulatory counseling. Exceptional oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills. Ability to take ownership of projects, work effectively within a team, and communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors. Admission to the Minnesota bar. Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school. Preferred but not required: a Master’s in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related graduate degree.
