Description
The Washington, DC office of Seyfarth Shaw seeks a construction litigation associate with 3-6 years of experience 3-6 years’ high-caliber experience with both public and private commercial construction projects. Experience on infrastructure projects and highly complex construction projects is preferred. . Represented owners, contractors, design professionals and/or sureties in litigation or arbitration matters. Represented owners, contractors, design professionals and/or sureties in the drafting, negotiating and administration of contracts. Experience with of the following construction matters: procurement-related issues, contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, claim documentation, equitable adjustments, impact and delay claims, default terminations, change order and extra work disputes, requests for equitable adjustments, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics' liens, prompt payment and conditional payment disputes, construction and design defects, and bid protests. Experience or exposure to condemnation proceedings is a plus. Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills required.
