Job Description: Williams Mullen is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate with at least 4 years’ experience in energy transactional and/or regulatory matters to join our expanding and dynamic Renewable Energy team. The position is based in our Tysons, VA or Richmond, VA office. Job Requirements: Ideal candidates must have at least 4 years of experience with energy transactional matters including: project development, project acquisitions/divestitures, project financings, negotiating and drafting agreements. Experience with energy regulatory issues, including cases before state energy regulatory/public utilities’ commissions, is a plus. A successful candidate will possess the ambition to excel and enjoy working in a small-office environment with the benefits of large-firm resources and cross-office engagement. We offer the ability to own a project from beginning to end while also getting to work on multiple other projects. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters. Also have the drive and energy to take initiative to advance projects, solve problems and pay attention to details. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Must be currently licensed in Virginia, immediate waive into Virginia, or be a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
