Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Real Estate Litigation Associate with approximately 4–7 years of experience in land use, CEQA, and real estate litigation to join our team in the Orange County office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated practice at an AmLaw 200 firm offering significant client contact, complex case work, and professional growth opportunities. Qualified candidates will have substantial experience representing private developers and/or public agencies in land use, CEQA, and related real estate litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of engaging with local, state, and federal government entities and advising clients on CEQA compliance and litigation defense, entitlement processes, municipal law, and regulatory compliance. Experience with writ proceedings, dispositive motions, mediations, and trial work is strongly preferred. Candidates should have experience drafting pleadings, writ petitions, dispositive motions, client memoranda, and settlement agreements, as well as preparing administrative records. This position requires California bar admission and excellent academic credentials. Qualified candidates must demonstrate strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Prior experience in a major law firm or government litigation setting is preferred. Typical salary range is from $175,000 to $250,000 depending on experience. In addition, this role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, bringing the possible total compensation range to $220,000-$325,000 annually.
