Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks a mid-level associate to join the firm’s industry-leading Technology Transactions and Sourcing (TTS) practice group. TTS lawyers structure, negotiate and close complex deals relating to the development, deployment, licensing, use and disposition of technology and intellectual property, the sourcing of business process services, and the negotiation and implementation of complex commercial and industrial transactions. Our clients include developers and vendors of technology as well as users and customers of technology, including many Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience doing complex technology and intellectual property deals, including software licensing and cloud services agreements, content licensing deals, software, data and IP development agreements, reseller and distribution agreements, e-commerce agreements, data and AI/ML development agreements, and inbound and outbound business process outsourcing (BPO) agreements. The candidate should also have experience conducting IP due diligence in M&A and other corporate and financial transactions. In addition to relevant experience, qualified candidates will be self-starters with great writing, client management skills, and will have strong academic credentials and prior law firm experience. Experience in the life sciences industry is preferred.
