Among the fastest growing, vertically integrated, large real estate operating companies in the Washington, DC region.Comstock is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Comstock Team. <br> </div> <div></div> <br> <div> To learn more about Comstock’s history, company culture, and business lines, please review our corporate brochure by clicking here: https://comstockcompanies.com/corporate-brochure/ </div> <div></div> <div> <br> The Vice President, Legal/Real Estate Counsel provides legal guidance and support to the Company. </div> <h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Responsibilities </b></h3> <ul> <li>Advise Acquisition, Finance, Development and Construction Departments in connection with the development and construction of large scale mixed-use real estate projects</li> <li> Support to include the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of professional service and commercial construction agreements, easement agreements, condominium documents, ground leases, franchise agreements, and other project specific agreements </li> <li>Support to include the negotiation and drafting of project related purchase and sale agreements, due diligence matters, and project financings</li> <li> Assist with the coordination of corporate governance matters </li> <li>Provide legal support on litigation matters</li> <li> Manage and periodically update form templates and internal corporate policies</li> <li> Partner with internal clients and provide sound and prompt guidance to meet business objectives</li> <li> Support the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel in all legal functions</li> <li> Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Qualifications </b></h3> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor, strong academic credentials, and state bar membership</li> <li> 2-6 years of transactional real estate experience</li> <li> Project finance experience a plus</li> <li> Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office/Suite, and any other software program identified as standard</li> <li> Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity</li> <li> Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence</li> <li> Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation</li> <li> Must be customer-focused and results-oriented</li> <li> Must want to continuously learn and develop</li> <li> Exceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills</li> <li> Ability to establish strong working relationships with others in team setting </li> <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment </li> <li>Self-directed and able to work independently, with minimal supervision</li> </ul> <div> Employment opportunities at Comstock vary from time to time and from position to position.
