We strive to build meaningful careers at a company whose values we share because when we live up to our potential, we help others live up to theirs._ Position Summary The position is a Corporate Counsel role in the company’s Legal organization, but will be cross-functional, working with the company’s General Counsel and other senior members of the Legal organization, as well as directly with the company’s business development, finance, investor relations and corporate communications groups. Responsibilities * The primary responsibilities of the position will be supporting Horizon’s business development and financing transactions, SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance and corporate communications * Other duties may include support of license and collaboration transactions, occasional contract negotiations and other duties Qualifications and Skills Required: * A Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in the U.S. * A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience as a corporate attorney, including at least 3 to 4 years experience and training at an Am Law 100 law firm * Functional knowledge and skills in the following areas: * Mergers and acquisitions * License and collaboration transactions * SEC reporting and compliance * Corporate governance * Preference given for experience working with biotechnology companies * Basic understanding of other general corporate areas, including contract negotiations and finance * Pro-active, self-motivated and highly organized, with experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Willingness to work cross-functionally and collaboratively * Strong project management skills * Strong collaboration skills * Ability to prioritise and manage a diversified workload, often to strict deadlines * Excellent judgment, strong initiative and attention to detail * Professional demeanor * Strong interpersonal skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Horizon Core Values & Competencies: _ Growth_ * Manages Ambiguity * Strategic Mindset * Demonstrates Self-awareness * Cultivates Innovation * Develops Talent _Accountability_ * Drives Results * Ensures Accountability * Decision Quality _Transparency_ * Courage * Collaboration * Instills Trust _Horizon Therapeutics plc does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
