The successful candidate must have a data privacy legal background and be able to demonstrate strong experience and interest in the areas of data privacy and security.</li> <li>The Data Privacy Counsel will report through our Compliance organization and will work with a multicultural and global scope. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, which include adhering to TechnipFMC’s core values and foundational beliefs.</li> </ul> Job Description <ul> <li>Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with legal and business teams, and interact with clients, as needed.</li> <li>Negotiate directly and provide oversight and support to the negotiation by others of data privacy contractual provisions in complex agreements with clients and third-party suppliers, data processing agreements, data transfer agreements and data protection clauses.</li> <li>Partner and interact with key business stakeholders and senior individuals within Legal to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new services, offerings, projects, products, and initiatives.</li> <li>Provide data privacy training to target employee audiences and create and maintain data privacy networks and training materials.</li> <li>Work closely with Cyber Security and Procurement on vendor management process.</li> <li>Develop and maintain long-term privacy compliance strategy, including policies, procedures, and guidance documentation.</li> <li>Own and keep under constant review all of TechnipFMC’s global data protection compliance arrangements, including updating relevant policies and procedures.</li> </ul> You are meant for this job if: <ul> <li>2+ years of experience with 4+ years with direct work experience in a global data privacy function with expertise in global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, LGPD, and CCPA).</li> <li>English resume preferred</li> <li>Licensed to practice law in the United States or other global countries.</li> <li>IAPP privacy certification (CIPP/US, CIPM, etc.) is preferred.</li> <li>Prior experience in structuring and providing practical data privacy legal guidance to business units and corporate functions.</li> <li>Knowledge of and experience in monitoring privacy trends and developments and translating those into actionable requirements.</li> <li>Experience working and managing OneTrust.</li> <li>Adapts nimbly to changing needs within the business.</li> <li>Ability to synthesize complex legal data privacy analysis into clear recommendations to the business.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and make decisions, and possess a high level of common sense, including the ability to spot risks before they materialize.</li> <li>Demonstrated command of data privacy, data security, and related laws and regulations.</li> <li>Travel required as needed (usually &lt;5%)</li> <li>Must have the ability to effectively work with others remotely, manage a schedule with global clients, conduct privacy reviews and engage in contract negotiation</li> <li>Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Fast-paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.
