Robinson+Cole, an Am Law 200 firm ranked #17 in Vault’s “2024 Best Law Firms to Work For,” seeks an associate with one to five years of insurance coverage and/or complex litigation experience to join the Financial Lines team of its Insurance + Reinsurance Practice Group in our New York City office. Admission to the New York bar is required for this position. Robinson+Cole has one of the leading insurance coverage and litigation practices in the United States and supports leading international insurers across multiple lines of business, including financial lines, professional liability, commercial general liability, construction defect, and first-party property. We are looking for a candidate with superior academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and large-firm or equivalent litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility for all aspects of insurance case management, including coverage analysis, drafting briefs on critical motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and assisting in conducting arbitrations and trials. Experience in insurance policy analysis and litigating coverage disputes is preferred. Law review experience and/or judicial clerkship experience are a plus. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
