Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is seeking a Post-Bar Law Clerk to join the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and work as part of an expanding team of Law Enforcement Defense litigators in the firm’s Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have experience in mock trial or trial advocacy programs and have a demonstrated interest in public sector work. The Law Enforcement Defense team represents law enforcement agencies and their officers in a wide-range of cases, including officer-involved shootings, allegations of excessive force and false arrest, and complex Constitutional matters. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded, with both an aptitude for research and writing and an interest in depositions and trial advocacy. The pay for Post-Bar Law Clerks is $55/hour. Once barred, the pay scale for associates at Burke ranges from $140,000 – $215,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
