We invite 1L students interested in participating in Cravath’s New York-based 2024 summer associate program to submit applications starting on November 15, 2023 (or thereafter based on your law school’s timing guidelines). Our 1L summer associates will have the option to participate in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 1L Scholars Program, which includes networking opportunities and a professional development summit. LCLD is an organization of more than 350 in-house legal departments and law firms dedicated to creating a more inclusive and diverse legal profession. Summer associates are given work assignments similar to those given to our regular associates and can expect to experience a realistic view of the Firm and our practice. We look for candidates with records of strong academic achievement who reflect a wide range of backgrounds and share important qualities – creativity, excitement about the practice of law, a strong work ethic, and motivation and ability to excel.
