We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours! <br><br> The Opportunity <br>Adobe is seeking a hardworking and upbeat attorney to provide exceptional legal and business support to the Adobe Experience Manager business unit. Adobe Experience Manager allows users to get personalized, content-led experiences into market faster by combining digital asset management with the power of a content management system. This position will support the Experience Manager teams through all stages of development and marketing, from concept to launch. This full-time position will be based in the United States in our San Jose, CA, San Francisco, CA, Lehi, UT, Austin, TX, McLean, VA, or New York, NY office. <br><br> What you’ll do <br>Support the Experience Manager teams as they develop and bring to market new technologies and product offerings by providing practical advice and helping to identify and resolve privacy, IP, go-to-market, and license compliance issues. <br>Build positive relationships with the Experience Manager teams, including product marketing, product management, engineering, technical operations, pricing, packaging, and sales, and advise multiple levels of management on legal issues. <br>Collaborate with subject matter leads in Adobe’s legal department, including privacy, patent, copyright, and licensing attorneys to analyze legal risks and support the business. <br>Draft, negotiate, and supervise a wide variety of agreements, including inbound and outbound technology licenses, product documentation, and partnership agreements. <br>Handle product launch processes, including technology release checklists and questionnaires. <br><br> What you need to succeed <br>J.D. from an accredited law school and necessary bar membership. <br>8+ years of relevant legal experience (e.g., software licensing, supporting clients in the cloud-based services industry, supporting product development). <br>Knowledge in privacy and data security issues and compliance. <br>Proficient at drafting and negotiating transactional agreements (preferably software license agreements). <br>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. <br>Demonstrated ability to succinctly frame complex legal issues and communicate effectively with multiple levels of management. <br>Technical background in software products and development, SaaS, or cloud-based services preferred. <br>Proven creative problem-solving capabilities, good business instincts, and the ability to apply common sense to both practical and theoretical advice. <br>Proven track record of forming and encouraging relationships. <br>Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically, be a creative problem solver, have excellent business instincts, and drive to provide practical solutions. <br>A genuine desire to support, help develop, and instill confidence in other team members. <br>A positive, self-assured, and optimistic demeanor. <br><br> Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $158,200 -- $303,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. <br><br> At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
