<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText jobsearch-JobComponent-description css-1x2lix0 eu4oa1w0"><div> <p><b>Description</b> </p> <p>Leidos Corporate Legal is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and experienced attorney to advise on emerging cybersecurity-related legal activities in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Reporting to the Senior VP/ Deputy General Counsel for Cyber and Privacy, the successful candidate will provide legal support for the company’s information security legal practice, with particular focus on cybersecurity, insider threat, industrial security, information technology, digital transformation and other cutting-edge topics. In addition to supporting corporate operations, the successful candidate will be available to provide support for the company’s customer facing business, particularly with regard to cybersecurity operations.</p> <p></p> <p> The selected attorney will vigorously partner with company executives such as the Chief Information Security Officer, the Chief Information Officer and the Chief Security Officer to further the company’s mission. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with all levels of management and staff, to provide practical legal guidance while participating in a collegial, team-oriented environment. Travel may occasionally be required.</p> <p></p> <p><b> This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days of onsite work requirement (based on meetings, work schedules, etc) from our Reston HQ - VA. Candidates must live within commuting distance to Reston - VA.</b></p> <p></p> <p> Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> Provide practical legal advice and counsel on legal issues related to new and emerging technology.</li> <li> Support Leidos’ comprehensive cybersecurity and insider threat programs.</li> <li> Work closely with the Leidos Global Privacy Office to ensure integration, consistency and compliance with U.S. and international privacy regimes.</li> <li> Partner with Company stakeholders to address and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and comply with applicable reporting requirements.</li> <li> Work with the company Chief Security Officer to implement and maintain a robust industrial security practices.</li> <li> Keep apprised of and advise on adaptability to emerging cybersecurity policy developments.</li> <li> Negotiate high value technology transactions with key IT and security suppliers.</li> <li> Work with and manage outside counsel on relevant cyber matters.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p> Qualifications:</p> <p></p> <p> Education</p> <ul> <li> Juris Doctor from a U.S. accredited law school</li> <li> Membership in the Virginia State Bar or the ability to become registered in-house counsel in Virginia.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p> Experience</p> <ul> <li> Minimum of 12 years of in-depth attorney experience working in the field of cybersecurity, security, and/or technology</li> <li> Experience with government contracting, and cybersecurity standards and frameworks</li> <li> Experience directly advising clients in the government, intelligence and/or health care sectors</li> </ul> <p></p> <p> Personal attributes</p> <ul> <li> Demonstrated skills in client management and ability to communicate effectively with clients.</li> <li> Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and collaboration.</li> <li> Superior written and oral communication skills.</li> <li> Agility and willingness to work on a broad range of matters.</li> <li> Self-motivated and ability to work independently without extensive supervision.</li> <li> Currently cleared to or eligible for clearance to U.S. TS/SCI level.</li> </ul> <p></p> <h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Pay Range:</b></h2> Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00 <p></p> <p> The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
