The White Plains office of Eckert Seamans is seeking an Associate for their Financial Services Litigation Practice. The financial services industry has long been one of the most complex, highly regulated and carefully scrutinized business segments. The volatility of economic and credit markets and mortgage foreclosure matters have created challenges for banks, lenders, and other financial services institutions, including voluminous lawsuits and government investigations attacking fundamental business practices. In addition, banks and financial services institutions rely on external legal counsel to both anticipate and react swiftly to a wide array of new regulations. Job Requirements: Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of financial services litigation experience Knowledge and familiarity representing financial institutions and mortgage servicers in real property matters Experience with class action litigation and court experience would be considered a plus Deposition and oral argument experience Enthusiastic work attitude Proactively work independently and as part of a team Ability to handle multiple matters on an on-going basis Strong writing and research skills, excellent academic credentials and admission to the New York bar are required Benefits: Generous PTO and holiday schedule Medical/Vision/Dental insurance Hybrid work schedule Commuter Benefits Paid parental leave 401k plan In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $164,000.00 to $195,000.00.
