Oblon is seeking candidates for its 2024 summer associate program. We are a full service patent law firm specializing in securing patent protection for complex technologies and providing strategic IP counseling and litigation assistance to its clients. The position will involve all facets of patent law including patent application drafting and prosecution; research and the study of patents and prosecution history files in support of opinions of non-infringement or invalidity; freedom to operate searches; technology licensing agreements and related transactions; and litigation support. Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing at an ABA accredited law school. Technical backgrounds in one or more of the following fields is required: electrical engineering; software engineering, computer engineering, organic or inorganic chemistry; biotechnology; chemical engineering and/or pharmaceuticals. This will be an onsite position in the Alexandria, VA office.
