Leveraged Finance Mid-Level Associate Freshfields’ US Leveraged Finance team is seeking associates with 3-5 years of bank debt experience to join our team in New York. We are looking for motivated team players to be instrumental in continuing to grow a top-quality leveraged finance platform. The US leveraged finance team works on cutting edge, complex financings, primarily for private equity firms and their portfolio companies as well as corporate borrowers. We represent clients of various sizes across many industries on a mix of large cap, middle market, growth equity and startup ventures. The group collaborates with our global colleagues on complex, multijurisdictional transactions while also partnering with our restructuring colleagues on complex liability management transactions. We cover all aspects of leveraged finance, handling all bank debt matters and certain private placements while working collaboratively with our capital markets team on high yield debt, pref investments and similar securities. Our rapidly growing practice offers significant room for advancement for self-starter associates with strong technical and commercial abilities who enjoy mentoring junior associates and being involved in business development. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $250,000 - $345,000.
