The Opportunity Glaser Weil is seeking an experienced entertainment transactions associate to join our practice. This position provides an opportunity to work alongside Glaser Weil’s recognized attorneys, who work on significant and industry-leading deals on both the talent and company sides in film and television. This position is based in our Century City (Los Angeles) office. Attractive Candidates Will Have: 5-7 years of experience in a law firm, an agency or an in-house business affairs role at a studio Experience working on transactional entertainment matters, including employment agreements for actors, writers, directors and producers Intelligence, drive and motivation Impeccable written, verbal, analytical and advocacy skills A can-do attitude and self-starter mindset Enthusiasm and demonstrated success working and collaborating in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to apply common sense to solving problems The ability to engage directly with clients and provide exceptional client service Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school Candidates must be admitted to practice law in California. The base compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000. These numbers do not reflect a successful candidate’s total compensation. Base compensation is only the guaranteed component of the total compensation package and does not include discretionary bonuses and the other career-enhancing opportunities of joining the Firm.
