GENERAL SUMMARY The Paralegal plays a crucial role in supporting our Business Immigration Attorneys and is pivotal in ensuring efficient legal services to our clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Drafts and files business immigration petitions and applications. Prepares and reviews evidence and supporting documentation. Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects. Handles communication with government agencies and clients. Manages client files and caseloads effectively. Conducts thorough legal research and writes memoranda and reports. Tracks critical deadlines using immigration software system Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases. Performs other related duties as assigned. Adhere to Firm policies and procedures as outlined in the Firm Handbooks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience required. 5+ years of business immigration experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
