Labor and Employment Associate

Highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate with 3 to 5 years of labor and employment defense experience. Employment litigation (before federal & state courts and government agencies) and counseling experience is required, together with excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should have experience managing a litigation caseload, including, but not limited to, drafting responsive pleadings, position statements, discovery requests/responses and discovery/dispositive motions. Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of the New York State Bar. Annual base salary: $200,000 - $275,000 (Akerman LLP is not a lock-step firm. The exact amount of salary for this position is dependent on a variety of factors).
