Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks a chemical regulatory associate with two to four years of experience to join our Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate should have significant Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) expertise. The ideal candidate should have significant Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) expertise, a clear interest in environmental law, a strong academic background, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should be enterprising and have a strong desire to become a leader in the field of environmental law. Candidates must have the following qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state jurisdiction and the ability to obtain licensure in the District of Columbia within 6 months of hire. Demonstrated experience with TSCA. Additional experience with state laws regulating the use of chemicals in products is a plus. Supplementary experience with drafting persuasive public comments or with administrative record. Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under deadlines, and the ability to assume significant client responsibilities. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. College degree in chemistry or physical science/environmental studies is a plus.
