Job Type Full-time This is an opening for a paralegal with at least five year’s experience working in our Binghamton office. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with benefits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Draft residential purchase and sale agreements, title insurance commitments, final title policies, correspondence, memoranda, open files and prepare file folders. Communicate directly with clients, other attorneys, realtors and title companies. Schedule closings. Proof read documents and ensure accuracy for proper recording with Count Clerk. Prepare commercial and residential closing packages including closing statements, drafting of all required documents and post-closing review. Coordinate post-closing recording of documents, disbursement of funds, calendaring any post-closing escrows. Maintain and track schedules, contingencies, deadlines and calendars. Maintain electronic and physical legal files including general organization, index closing documents and post-closing file management. Provide secretarial support to assigned attorneys in addition to paralegal duties. Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information. Provide other support as needed. Skills and Qualifications: Strong word processing skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members. Ability to handle and adjust effectively to competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Client service focused. Ability to work well under pressure. High level of professionalism. Overtime as necessary.
