Insurance Regulatory Associate | DC & New York | #20601 Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an Associate with 2-5 years of experience to work with its Insurance Transactions & Products practice group in the New York office or DC office. We are looking to add a team member with experience advising clients on insurance regulatory matters. The Insurance practice is ranked as “Band 2” with Chambers USA and we cultivate exceptional attorneys across all levels by providing them with the experiences and resources needed to build successful careers. The Associate will join a practice that provides advice to a broad range of Fortune 500 clients and industry leading companies on a full spectrum of transactional and regulatory compliance. The individual will also have extensive interaction with a variety of clients including financial services companies, especially life and property and casualty insurers and reinsurers. We are seeking candidates who possess key qualities and skills for this position: Two to five years of law firm or in-house experience is required. Skills and experience related to handling regulatory matters within the Insurance industry. Working knowledge related to formation and licensing of insurers and insurance intermediaries, market conduct, compliance with state insurance laws governing non-admitted insurance, redomestications, the Holding Company Act, credit for reinsurance would be especially valued. Excellent writing and analytical skills. Strong academic records and impressive communication abilities. A client-service mindset and the ability to assume immediate responsibility for matters in an active practice. A detail-oriented approach, professionalism, and confidence. The Associate position requires in-office presence three days per week. The salary is commensurate with years of relevant experience & geographic location. The salary range for our Associate position is $225,000-$420,000. .
