We are looking for a mid-level associate to join Dechert’s Global Labor and Employment team in our London office. The ideal candidate will have a very strong academic background, with excellent analytical and communication skills. This will be a 12 month contract. They will be admitted to practice in England and Wales and have experience in working within a top-tier firm. The team represents employers in complex disputes and litigation, advises on the workforce aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions and restructurings, and advises on workforce practices and policies that prevent problems from occurring in the first place. Key Responsibilities: Manage an employment tribunal claim on day-to-day basis, with limited supervision. Manage an investigation process on a day-to-day basis, with limited supervision. Provide specialist employment support to corporate deals, including conducting / managing a due diligence process with limited supervision. Prepare contracts of employment, including taking instructions and drafting bespoke remuneration arrangements and post termination restrictions with limited supervision. Advise on TUPE and manage a TUPE information and consultation process with limited supervision. Advise on collective redundancies and manage a collective redundancy process with limited supervision. Review and/or supervise the review of employee handbook and policies. Identify issues relating to SMCR and Remuneration Codes. Draft certain LLP related documents.
