Job Summary The Health Care group is seeking two highly qualified, mid-level associate to join our nationally recognized health care practice. Ideal candidates will have 2 – 4 years of broad transactional and regulatory experience in health care law. Duties/Responsibilities Experienced associates will be responsible for representing clients from all sectors of the global health care industry such as hospitals, health care systems, academic medical centers, large physician groups, payors, manufacturers of pharma and medical devices, and investors. Associates will also be expected to counsel clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the health care industry, including assisting with the structuring and negotiation of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions as well as advice on complex regulatory and compliance issues, including representing clients in government audits and investigations. Required Skills/Abilities Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience working with health care institutions and business, and have solid working knowledge of regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA/HITECH privacy and security, managed care contracting, Medicare and Medicaid, and hospital/physician contracting. Excellent academic credentials and a J.D. degree from an accredited law school, are required. Current law firm experience working as an associate, in this field of practice, is preferred.
