Ice Miller is seeking a midlevel or mid-to-senior level private equity attorney to join our New York office. Successful candidates will work with our busy Private Equity team in New York representing middle market and lower middle market private equity funds, family offices and independent sponsors in their investment strategies, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, structured equity investments, and other strategic transactions. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong law school credentials and references.In this position you will: Receive training opportunities with growing levels of responsibility. Gain experience as responsible attorney on M&A transactions. Collaborate across practice groups and across offices. Have opportunities for advancement in a collegial environment. Work in a small office atmosphere with the resources of an AM Law 200 firm. Engage in business development activities. The ideal candidate will: Have law firm experience with private equity transactions and interacting directly with clients. Have an undergraduate degree in business. Have been licensed to practice since 2020 or earlier. Have excellent law school and undergraduate credentials and references. Excel in a team environment. Demonstrate a keen interest in developing and implementing relationship building skills both internally and externally. Have experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own. Be highly motivated and a self-starter. Possess strong business acumen. Be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Have excellent written and oral communication, as well as analytical skills.
