GEICO currently has an opening for a <b>Senior Labor and Employment Law Counsel </b>based at GEICO’s Corporate Headquarters located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. This position is in the Employment Law Practice Group in the Office of the General Counsel.</p> <p></p> <p><b> Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li> Managing employment litigation including class and collective actions and EEOC matters.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Advising the HR function and company management on employment matters.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Assisting with internal investigations.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Requirements: </b></p> <ul> <li>A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a corporate legal department (or equivalent experience in a law firm).</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Candidates must have graduated from an accredited law school and be admitted to a state bar.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Preferable located in the Maryland/Virginia/Washington, DC metro area</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Candidates must have: </b></p> <ul> <li>The ability to handle a considerable volume of work and to work under pressure with multiple/shifting deadlines.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> The ability to solve problems and to work well individually and as a team member.</li> </ul> <p></p> <div> <div> <p><b> Benefits:</b></p> </div> <div> <p> At GEICO, we make sure you have the support and resources to leverage and develop your skills, secure your financial future, and take care of your health and well-being.
