We are accepting applications from 1L candidates for our 2024 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 1L Scholars position. The LCLD 1L Scholar will join our 2024 Summer Associate Program. Qualified candidates must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school, possess a record of academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, proven written and analytical abilities, and strong interpersonal skills. We seek well-rounded, motivated students with the potential to develop into exceptional lawyers and who will embrace Jones Day’s culture and mission. The 1L LCLD Scholars Program is designed to strengthen the legal pipeline by expanding the number of opportunities for diverse and under-represented first-year law students. Scholars are provided an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience through working side-by-side with attorneys as well as the opportunity to develop relationships with other LCLD 1L Scholars and LCLD Member Organizations.
