We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our team and provide legal support to our Neuroscience Business Unit, specifically focusing on diagnostics in our Diagnostics and Cell &amp; Gene Therapies organization.</p> <p></p> <h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Key Objectives/Results</b><b>:</b></h2> <ul> <li> Provide strategic and solutions-oriented counsel to the Neuroscience Business Unit, with a specific focus on the global diagnostics platform including imaging agents (e.g., positron emission tracers such as Amyvid and Tauvid) and blood-based diagnostics (e.g., lab developed tests and in vitro diagnostics).</li> <li> Counsel the business unit marketing, medical affairs, development and related teams on legal matters including FDA labeling and advertising requirements, the Anti-kickback Statute and its safe harbors, the False Claims Act, antitrust, unfair competition law, consumer protection, data rights and privacy, FTC commercial law, and business transactions (including OUS).</li> <li> Support Regulatory Affairs, Regulatory Policy, and other Business Units by providing legal expertise related to diagnostics, specifically blood-based diagnostics.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p> Are you skilled at collaboration with cross-functional teams, with deep expertise in legal compliance in diagnostic-related activities? Apply today and join the Lilly family!</p> <p></p> <h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Basic Requirements</b><b>:</b></h2> <ul> <li> JD degree from accredited law school</li> <li> Admitted to the bar in at least one of the fifty states; eligibility to be admitted to the bar in Indiana under Indiana Admissions Rules if relocating to Indiana</li> <li> Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience supporting blood-based or in vitro diagnostics testing company, either practicing as a member of a law firm or in house at company with lab testing capabilities or a combination of the two.</li> </ul> <p></p> <h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Additional Skills and Expertise:</b></h2> <ul> <li> Working knowledge and understanding FDA laws and regulations pertaining to diagnostic labs (e.g., Medical Device Amendments of 1976 to the FDCA, CLIA, Valid Act) and, preferably, pharmaceutical and device marketing as generally practiced by innovative, multinational pharmaceutical manufacturers</li> <li> Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced and evolving environment</li> <li> Demonstrated ability to assess and help business colleagues manage risks in a highly regulated environment</li> <li> Organized and excellent attention to detail</li> <li> Strong analytical skills and sound judgment and issue spotting ability</li> <li> Demonstrated learning agility</li> <li> Strong interpersonal skills and with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration</li> <li> Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present complex information accurately and concisely in order to influence others at all levels of management</li> </ul> <p></p> <h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Other Information</b><b>:</b></h2> <p> Some travel required (US and possibly limited international)</p> <p></p> <p> Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $222,000 - $325,600 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
