We will be far more than a leading cigarette company. In 2016 we made a dramatic decision to purposefully replace cigarettes. We’re building PMI’s future on smoke-free products that – while not risk-free and which are addictive - are a much better choice for adults than continuing to smoke.

There is no question that the best choice for men and women who smoke is to quit tobacco and nicotine altogether. But despite the known health risks, many don’t. In any given year, about 9 out of 10 people who smoke will continue to do so: they deserve access to, and accurate information about, better alternatives to smoking.

That is why we’re building PMI’s future on replacing cigarettes with smoke-free products and focusing our efforts in switching adults, who would choose to continue smoking, to our smoke-free platforms.

In addition, we also evolving our portfolio to include products outside of the tobacco and nicotine sector, in wellness and healthcare.

Our progress has been remarkable and as of December 31, 2022, PMI's smoke-free products accounted for around a third of our total net revenues, were available for sale in 73 markets, and PMI estimates that almost 25 million adults around the world are now using our smoke-free products.

For more information on our vision and corporate purpose visit: https://www.pmi.com

Role Summary

PMI is embarking on the next step in its exciting transformation.
