Duties include:</p> <ul> <li> Reviewing and analyzing all application records to determine if records are legally sufficient to support approval or denial of a credential. Making written recommendations to regulatory authorities.</li> <li> Drafting a variety of legal documents such as application denials, letters of intent to deny an application, requests for additional information, limited licenses, and various other credentialing documents.</li> </ul> <b> Salary Information</b> <br> <p>This position is in schedule-range (09-75) with an <b>annual salary of $84,240-$100,880, plus excellent benefits</b>. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <b> Job Details</b> <br> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check.</p> <p> This state agency does not sponsor work visas. For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, it is <b>not</b> anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.</p> <b> Qualifications</b> <br> <p><b>Candidates </b><b>must </b><b>be licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin prior to the application deadline.</b></p> <p></p> <p> Qualified applicants must have all of the following:</p> <ul> <li> Experience conducting legal research including statutes and regulations.</li> <li> Experience analyzing facts and law and providing legal advice/recommendations to non-lawyers.</li> <li> Experience drafting legal documents including correspondence, memorandums, briefs, and proposed decisions, including findings of fact and conclusions of law.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p> In addition, a well qualified applicant will have experience with at least one of the following:</p> <ul> <li> Litigation training or experience (criminal, civil, administrative, or other).</li> <li> Experience with licensing and/or employment discrimination law.</li> <li> Experience performing legal work for professions such as real estate, accounting, cosmetology, medicine, nursing, or comparable.</li> </ul> <b>How To Apply</b> <br> <p>Apply online!
