Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, with specific expertise in litigation and client counseling. This role requires a deep understanding of both state and federal employment regulations and the ability to provide strategic advice to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Handle employment-related litigation, including defending against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, the DOL and the NLRB. Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients on a broad range of labor and employment issues, including compliance with state and federal employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII, employee benefits and dispute resolution. Assist clients in developing and implementing effective employment policies and procedures. Conduct investigations of employment related complaints Provide training and counseling to clients on a variety of employment-related topics, including best practices for managing employees, avoiding litigation, and handling sensitive workplace issues. Stay current with labor and employment law changes and proactively advise clients on potential impacts to their business operations. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Illinois. Minimum of 7 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation and counseling. Proven track record of successfully handling employment-related litigation and administrative matters. Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong client service orientation and ability to develop and maintain lasting client relationships.
