Description
The WDC office is currently seeking an Attorney with 1-3 years of business immigration experience with exceptional writing skills to provide support our compliance legal team. As an immigration attorney in our dynamic and diverse, 150+ person, Chambers-ranked Business Immigration and Global Mobility Practice, you will be responsible for supporting our growing compliance and enforcement practice on day-to-day needs for Fortune 500 corporations. We operate within a high-volume AM Law 100 law firm environment, and deploy the industryĆ¢??s most sophisticated service delivery model to manage the business immigration and global mobility programs of our clients. Our practice is growing and we are always seeking self-motivated, intelligent and composed attorneys to be part of our team. Job Description A successful candidate should have the knowledge, skills and abilities to: conduct the basic legal research and due diligence to support our Compliance practice during compliance reviews, audits and site visits; document preparation including draft Standard Operating Procedures and training materials based on Form I-9 and E-Verify eligibility regulations; draft, review and process non-immigrant visa petitions and applications, Alien of Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher and NIW petitions, and complex RFE and DOL audit responses; understand immigration concepts and present, in conjunction with supervising attorney, strategic solutions for clients, as appropriate; and Form I-9 audit experience not necessary but a plus. Those who are successful in our environment are able to: Work independently, multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, effectively manage complex projects under tight deadlines, navigate complex technology platforms efficiently ( experience in Tracker ImmSTAR, HotDocs, Excel a plus), communicate effectively in writing and verbally, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources), use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems, contribute to a positive work environment, and demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills. Educational and Experience Requirements: A successful candidate will possess a J.D. and have an active status in a State Bar Association 1-3 years of immigration-specific experience required.
