About the Position CMDA’s growing litigation practice has an opportunity for a highly-motivated Civil Litigation Attorney with a minimum of four years of practical civil litigation experience to join our Southern California office and assist with a fast-paced trial docket. Remote/flexible work arrangement is available. Skills and Educational Requirements JD from an ABA-Approved law school, with excellent academic credentials. Current California Bar admission in good standing. Minimum of four years of practical civil litigation experience. Three years of trial experience required, jury trial experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing. Public entity defense litigation experience is a plus, but not required. Outstanding analytical and creative thinking capabilities. Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and electronic discovery platforms. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner, along with a commitment to provide clients with high-quality services.
